The village of Vilshanky, Perechyn region
The village of
Vilshanky, of Perechyn region, is one of those places where I like to come back regularly. The village has its charm, even though it does not have points of interest for a general person. As for me, the main advantage of the village - its location and scenery. It is settled on the hillside. There are practically no flat areas in the village. Two rows of houses are closely in a thin long line near the road. Cattle graze on a nearby hill. And here is the view of the neighborhood - it's something. The
Sinatoriya ridge is in full view. You can see almost the entire valley through which the way "Perechin - Svalyava" passes from the village Simer to the village Olenyovo, which is located on the pass between Perechyn and Svalyava regions. The mountains are always in front of haze or fog. A steep serpentine road leads to the village that starts near the village of Turichky.
The most important landmark, which makes this village is known in certain circles of deeply religious people, is the presence of the holy spring in the village, where according to the legend, the Virgin Mary appeared to two rural girls. Someone from the villagers say that this is true. Someone refutes the prevailing opinion.
However, just like that, currently, the spring looks. It is ennobled with holy images, lights, fence, a bowl lined with stone. The spring flows somewhere in the bowels of the hill on which the church stands. By the way, the church itself is on a hill above the village, and its roof is covered with "fresh" badge, which shines and lights on the background of the forest on a sunny day. If you go by car to Lumshory, in the village Turytsa on the left of the road, against the far slope covered with green forest, you will notice a bright flare, it is the roof of the church in the village Vilshanky. However, this is the only one thing of the village, which can be seen from the road to Lumshory.
Another, less well-known landmark of the village is the old Jewish cemetery, located behind the house of the chairman, on a hillock near the swamp. The cemetery is almost destroyed. Locals say that every year during the last few decades, one or two graves have disappeared. Now it is difficult to say whether it was done intentionally or because of "age", but the fact remains. It is the most preserved tomb in the photo below.
"The second safety tomb” is covered with fungus and mold. It is very difficult to notice it in the grass.
There is another attraction of the village in the photo below. I have seen drinkers for cattle of this type very rarely in other villages. The part of the felled tree trunk is fixed in earthen niches. Then the part of the core is removed, forming a cavity into which the water from the nearest creek flows through wooden trough.
And this is a small chapel, located above the village (a mile from the center). It is at a crossroads. One road goes through the mountain
Znamyn (709 m above sea level) in Smerekovo and on the ridges in Zarichevo. The second road, passing near the ridge Petyhovets, descends to the village Simerky. One more road (it is not visible in the photo) goes in the direction of the village Turytsa. From a place where the chapel was set a fantastic view of the ridge of Perechyn region opens.
It is a high-tech water trough in action in the photo below. In my opinion, it is the acme of perfection. By the way, I forgot to note that there are very many streams in the village Vilshanky. The slope of the mountain is very aquifer. Such drinkers are every 20-25 meters. In addition, several drinking water sources for people are equipped along the road.
There is another attraction of the village - a rock "
A high stone" between "
Dil" and the next hill, somewhere in the woods.
Panoramic views of the village (601 KB). A shooting point is 50 meters away from the "chapel at the crossroads" over the village. The right peak is the Mount Dil Olshanskyy. Its height is 899 above sea level. The mountain, which is on the left, is without the name. It is a bit lower than the "Dil" - 851 m above sea level. If you walk another 50 meters to the top, you hit the point at which Perechyn is seen. It is very nice!
