Waterfall Gorodilov. Carpathian salamander.

Tract Gorodilov (alt: Gorodilovo), which is on the outskirts of the city Khust, contains only two places of interest, apart from a huge gas pipeline "Soyuz" (eng: Union), which goes to the surface in the territory of the tract. One of the sights is very well known monastery of the Holy Trinity, a mountain monastery for men with one hundred year history, where thirty monks live. The second sight is Gorodilov waterfall. It is far less popular, it is located at 3 to 4 kilometers from the monastery of upstream flow, which is called Var. It starts in the polonyna between the mountains Kytitsa (841 m) and Doschataya (761 m).

Water Mill in the village Lipovec. Part One.

The village Lipovets (ukr: Липовець), Khust district, is located at 407 m and is known for its fantastic natural beauty and dozens of places of interest. In fact, there are two villages of the name Lipovets in Transcarpathia. Another one is in Perechin district and there starts "Betonka" (a concrete road) to the Polonina Rovnaya. The main place of interest of the village is mountain lake "Morskoe Oko" (Sea Eye). Other sights are waterfall, two red rocks "Malyj Charlenyj Kamin`" and "Velykyj Charlenyj Kamin`" , the high mountain fish farm, the natural formation "Kotel", the old water mill. Somewhere on its slopes there are fascinating cottages of Uzhgorod tax collectors, where Mr Yushchenko being a prime minister liked to have a rest. I would like to talk about the old water mill and its creator in this article.

The Village Lipovets. The Lake. The Waterfall. The Cliff. Part One.

The village of Lipovets (ukr: Липовець) Khust district, is situated at 407 m at the foot of the mountains Grabow (782 m) and Koshelevo (720 m). The stream takes its origin above the village it is also called Lipovets, which is flowing into the river Rika. There are a lot of sights in the village Lipovets and it can compete for primacy in Khust area. There is a waterfall there, and two red rocks "Malyj Charlenyj Kamin`" and " Velykyj Charlenyj Kamin`", and high- mountain fish farm, and the natural formation "Kotel". There is even an old water mill. Somewhere on its slopes there are fascinating cottages of Uzhgorod tax collectors, where Mr. Yushchenko being a prime minister liked to have a rest.
