The phenomenon of the sacred image in Velykyy Bereznyy

All believers of Transcarpathia and surrounding areas are astir. A resonant event took place in the village of Velykyy Bereznyy. The holy image has been recently manifested on the wall of one of the plant shops, lined with roofing iron, engaging in the processing of wood, which is situated near the center of Velykyy Bereznyy.

In the evening someone walked by and happened to notice in the glow of lights, illuminating the street, the image of Jesus Christ, who was looking at him from the wall of the building behind the fence. A word for a word - and it goes away! Deeply religious and just curious people from all over Transcarpathia and surrounding areas poured Bereznyy region in these days. Today, having learned about the event from deeply religious friends, I’ve decided to go and join the Miracle. I’ve called my friends from Bereznyy with the question of “how to find the object” and I’ve got the recommendation to follow the crowd moving predominantly in one direction. I’ve approached, and accurately, a lot of people are moving somewhere. I joined up and five minutes later reached the site before the manufacturing company not far from the center, where approximately 70 persons hung out, looking somewhere over the fence and up.



Glancing at the wall of a woodworking shop, I immediately realized what attracted people's attention. The contour adorned at one of the roofing sheets, similar to the head and shoulders of man. And if you look closely and give free rein to the imagination, you can see “eyebrows” and some parts of the human face. The "head" is a bit tilted to the side. As if it is in full accordance with the canons of church painting.



Someone has a phone in his hands, someone – a camera. They shoot, whispering. Someone watches, and someone is in a religious trance. I drew my attention to the little old lady; apparently she had been standing here for a long time around who people were hanging out. I came up and listened to what they meant. Involuntarily the smile appeared on my face. The old lady told partially how a half days ago, she, by God, saw a small chapel near the image of Christ. Moreover, the left hand of Christ was raised in a welcoming gesture. However, she lamented strongly that the chapel and the hand had disappeared and now she might be taken as a liar.

Here is a more zoomed fragment of the "image" without color correction. When I was asked by a few people in the crowd to show what I’d photographed, I zoomed the "image" to full screen of the camera and they, all as one, agreed that it was necessary to observe from afar. Then the image becomes most recognizable. I agree with them. The zoom is greater, the features are less recognizable.



I made several versions of the “image” correction - black and white, color with high contrast, black and white with high contrast + inverted. Maybe, somebody else makes out something.

Now let’s reduce the fragment ... The pictures look exactly in such a way on a small screen of mobile phones, providing maximum associative perception of the image, what adds emotions to the viewer.



When I saw a policeman standing in the distance, I approached him and struck up a conversation. He, just in case, was appointed by the bosses to control "as if something happens." Those, who are in favor, sometimes argue more keenly with those, who are "against". The policeman told me that new images had been found in the hundred-meter wall, covered with a roof "badge" almost every few hours. The crowd cries out, and if the image is really guessed, local guides add it to the list of inspection. Over the last half of the day people have viewed the following "new images" with high level of imagination. One and all, they see the Virgin Mary with someone talking, in the photo below. I do not want to offend anyone, especially the deeply religious people, but forgive me; I do not see Virgin Mary at all. But the contour of the penis and testicles in profile accurately present on the shingles below.

Some of the crowd hung out at the opposite edge of the building. I approached. I was shown another biblical image. Now it was on some sheets. Here Mary bent over the baby Jesus. In this case, someone stood on the other side of the Virgin Mary, too. I still have not been answered who it was.

While I was walking in and making photos, people arrived and arrived. There were several hundred people in the square. I was surprised to see the management of urban and regional traffic police in the arrived crowd. Practically it was at full staff. By the way, according to the district policeman’s words, there was the peak of attendance yesterday. There were so many people that it was impossible to squeeze. Also, I learned that if you shine on the image with a powerful flashlight in total darkness, the image of Jesus is even better "seen".
